Located at Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada, The Kayak Shack offers safe, fun, and eco-friendly tours and rentals for paddlers of every experience level.
The Kayak Shack started with a love for the waters of the Florida Keys and a desire to help people experience it. Located right here at Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada, we’re lucky to have some of the most beautiful waters in the Keys right outside our door.
What started as a small local business has grown into a team of 4-6 people who love being on the water and sharing that experience with our customers. Our motto is simple: Have fun, be safe, and respect the environment.
We’re also fortunate to be able to operate in and around some of the protected waters of the Florida Keys. That opportunity comes with a responsibility to take care of the places we get to enjoy. Before anyone heads out, we go over basic safety, how to use the equipment, and the importance of protecting the seagrass, mangroves, and wildlife around us.

What makes The Kayak Shack different is that we genuinely want people to have a great experience, whether it’s their first time in a kayak or they’ve been paddling for years. We take the time to make sure our customers feel comfortable and know what they’re doing before they get on the water.
You can rent a kayak and explore at your own place or join one of our guided tours. Either way, our goal is to make getting out on the water is easy, safe, and fun — while helping you experience the Florida Keys the way we love it.
